Mr. Mom

What would you think if your father in law showed up wearing this to the camp ground. Always looking to create some comedy moments he decided to try on a pretty bathing suit and added the touch of the pink hat. He approached a couple of French gentleman walking down the road to the beach and tried to have a conversation with them. What a laugh they couldn't get away from them fast enough. He's already warned us that next year will be the bikini watch.

Father In Law

We were talking about getting back to our family summer vacation and I remembered this moment from 2 summers ago

I have a fun lovin' FIL, this is what greeted us at the camp ground when we arrived, he had his rain hat in full gear and his cooking gloves ready to cook. There were many more funny moments from the comedian that I will share with you later on. If you can't laugh at yourself what have you got.

Hot Vacation Destinations

My wife and I are beginning to plan an exotic vacation for just the two of us to celebrate our upcoming 10th anniversary, we have never even had our real honeymoon yet. We both decided that we would like to have an exciting vacation filled with romance, great food, beach, sunbathing and starlight nights. It was important for us to find an option that could meet all these conditions. The Karisma Hotels offer various vacation options to meet every ones desires and wants. One interesting option is that they also have a site dedicated to families with activities focusing on kids needs and interests while still having interesting things for the parents to do as well. We have begun to look into family vacation for a wonderful exotic opportunity, for the entire family as well if we decide we like our adventure.

Girl time

My wife and daughter are going on a trip with their dance school to NY this summer and they have a full week of events planned to keep them busy. One of the most exciting events they have planned is a Fine Dining Diner Cruise. They are planning their outfits and for this one they wanted to get some beautiful costume jewelry to accent their dresses. I am so time crunched so shopping online is a great time saver for me, with a little research I found Holsted Jewelers, they are a designer of exclusive jewelery, accessories and gifts. They have shipped to millions of customers and strive to have everyone of them excited about their special package when it arrives. The best thing to save a little extra they offer free shipping and a secure shopping environment. It will be exciting to send my two beautiful girls looking their best.

A welcome Vacation

I am planning on taking a vacation next week from work. This is the first year I have had 5 weeks of vacation from work. I normally take my vacation at the same time each year, March Break, a week in May and 2 weeks in the summer so this is a welcome change. I now will ad a week in September after the kids get back to school, this will allow me to spend time around the house to work on some projects and get ready for winter. I am excited for this time to spend with my Wife and our youngest son whom isn't in school yet.

Denver Magazine

Are you looking to get into the know in the Denver area, you may need to turn to the experts and get the monthly copy of the newsletter for them to always know how to work the project. AS being part of the event afterwards it might be ready to change.
The pace of life in Denver is quick and it's citizens tend to move quickly, so it's important to ensure all the places you need to go are planned ahead. It will make everything go smoothly if you allow yourself to have a basic plan that can be tweeked as you need to match the changing need. The Denver Magazine is a great place to start for your online shopping.

Look, 2 wheels

Kohl was bugging as he is turning 6 to get his training wheels off his bike, we took them off and Nana and Mom worked with him for an hour or so to get him comfortable with balancing his weight. He was very proud of himself for accomplishing this and by the next day he was doing very good. He had a few spills and war wounds but he thought they were all very cool and kept on trucking.

Mom and Pup

We had the opportunity to re-unite our puppy with her Mom while visiting with my family. They had a few moments of tense feelings but after a few minutes they were playing and having a great time. They even curled up together for a rest, it was very sweet to watch them interact with each other.

The sun bathing beauties

I was able to catch this shot of the bathing beauties, I was very proud of my wife for getting out on the beach in her new bikini. Her and her Mom took advantage of the kids enjoying the beach to catch some sun. We have been together for 11 years and I have never seen her in a bikini and I will be the first one to tell you she certainly made it look good.

The sky's opened Up

Wednesday night the sky's opened up with a huge thunder and lightning storm and a down pour. Little did we know that this was a sign of things to come for us over the next few days as we got a lot of rain. We managed to entertain ourselves inside the tent with some coloring, Nintendo DS and a few games of rock paper scissor as Carrie went down to the laundry area to catch up our dirty clothes and wet towels.

An expected Visitor

When we got up one morning we had an unexpected visitor in our van. This little bird must have flown into the van in the evening while we were getting things out of the back hatch. He was in the van all night and certainly left his mark on the van with little droppings all over the place. It took a few minutes to coax him out of the van but he seemed pretty happy to be back on his way.

The Fry Guy

Another hilarious moment from our camping trip was when Blake found this tent box from one of the other member's of the camping crew. He slid his body into the box and began walking around the campsites in it making silly noises. We thought we should cut holes so he could see where he was going and also for his arms so when he fell he could catch himself. He wore this everynight for the week we were camping and it was hilarious to see.

Where's those chicken legs

Here's another character that joined us last week on vacation, the chicken man. Carrie's uncle Brian joined our camping crew on the weekends and one day he arrived with the cool chicken hat. This chicken hat provided quite a bit of entertainment for the crew all weekend long. The Chicken hat moved from person to person through the course of the weekend but no one wore it quite as good as Brian.

New Vacation Toy

We try to get a new vacation toy for the kids every year, this year we got what's called a water trampoline, it can be used on land or in the water. We used it down at the beach a few days and had a lot of fun, everyone took a turn on it including the kids and the older folks. It was a big hit and we all had a lot of fun with it.

This was before Vacation

Poor little Blakie was tired out before we even got to vacation, he passed out in the van on the way to Amherst. I think he was just trying to bank some sleep because he stayed up pretty late everynight while we were camping. He had a ton of fun playing at the park, the beach and the campground. I really enjoyed getting to spend the time with him as with work I don't get to spend as much time with the kids as I would like to

Take me too Dad

Well we are getting back from vacation so it's time to start getting all the updates and pictures on-line to share. Here is a picture of our puppy getting ready to go, this was her first big trip with us and she did really well with the trip. She only didn't like it when it was cold or wet, she would then whine to go back into her kennel with her blankets and sookey toys. She's still just a baby and I'm sure she will enjoy next years trip.

Baby sitter

It's surprising how hard it is for us to actually get a sitter for the kids and go out on a night just my wife and I. With our anniversary coming up in a couple of weeks, I am hoping we will be able to get someone we trust with the kids so we can go for a while by ourselves. It's hard too because our anniversary always falls on our vacation which means we are also away from home. Wish us good luck on this one.

Getting ready for Vacation

What are you doing for vacation this year? I'm heading off with the family this weekend to spend a week on the beach camping. This has become a bit of a tradition for us, I believe this is our 3rd year going to this particular camp ground. It is relaxing and the kids enjoy the camp fires, access to the beach and of course trips to the treat store in the evening. It is fun because it's roughing it, no electricty and better yet no reastaurants around so we can save money while still having fun.
