doggie do's

I woke up this morning to a pile of dog pee in 3 different places in the house, it was so disappointing as the dogs were let out before I went to bed last night at 11pm and then I let them out again in the middle of the night when they came whining. I thought for sure that would have been enough for them but sadly it wasn't and now I had to mop the floors this morning too.

Bummed out

I had a really rotten day at work and now I find myself in a funk that I don't know how to get out of. I guess the smartest thing would be to go to sleep for the night and start fresh in the morning. The bad thing is there is laundry to be done and the kids need to get their supper and homework done. Suck it up buttercup and get to work.

Golden Party

We recently had a birthday costume party for my son Blake for his birthday and it was a lot of fun to see all the kids dressed up. I even got in on the fun with a costume that was lent to me from a co-worker. I got to be a pirate and I really looked the part, Blake even found me an Eye patch out of his play things from his room to complete the look. The kids kept looking for my buried treasure of gold coins and silver, and if I had of thought of it I could have got some toy coins to play along with them. Really as an investment there has never been a better time to buy gold and silver then right now as the available stockpiles have been depleted and the underground reserves are becoming less plentiful leading to an increase in the value of the available product. It can be a strong investment commodity and should continue to out perform many other investment options as the demand continues to outpace supply.

School Pictures

The kids arrived home from school with their new pictures, we even took Jay from JNR. High to the kids school to get his done their instead so we had the same background for everyone. The pictures turned out really good and the kids are looking so grown up. Of course the kids pictures were wasting no time getting into the wall frames. It might cost quite a bit to get the pictures but it is really worth it when you get good pictures from a photographer that cares about what he is doing.

Bummer

I was looking to a nice quite evening with my wife, the kids were going to bed early after a long week and we were planning on getting off to a nice early bed night ourselves. Unfortunetly her work had other plans and now she has been called into work for the night. She will be home around 2am and I have to go to work for 7am so it doesn't leave much quality time for us tonight. At least she is off tommorrow but we have family night planned out with the kids to the movies and then we are back into our week routine of business. Not much time for rest and relaxation for us this weekend :0(

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

In our house as soon as Halloween is over it's on to Christmas, the Pumpkins and Witches hit the tote for next year and the Garland and tree come out for decorating. We do a lot of inside decorating for Christmas and it takes quite a while to get it all done so we might as well do it early so we can enjoy it longer. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. Danica's Nascar Dream

To be honest the hype over Danica's entrance to Nascar this season has finally diminished. Without a single top 10 this season may would say it was a disaster but really I think it was a solid effort to start the Nascar career, I would like see her run the full season next year and finally make a real effort to win some races.

Chase Tightens

Well here we are it's now Friday and on Track activities are heating up at Texas Motor Speedway. The Chase is down to 3 drivers, 3 races and let the best (or luckiest) team win. We did see some momentum swing last week at Talledaga but not the big swing many expected. The save of the week would have to go to the 29 team who got wrecked, saved the car and perservered to almost win, settleing for second place. A shame with the win the top 3 would be within 23 points of each other now that would be really exciting for the hype of this week. We will have to see where the teams are after Sunday to see if there can be any excitement for the last 2 weeks of the season.

Party Central

We had a birthday party for Blake over the weekend and of course because of the time of year it had to be a costume party for Halloween. He was pretty excited to have a party with all his friends from school. We rented the hall and set up crafts, games and snacks and everyone had a ball. It was great fun and he loved going out shopping for some lego sets with his money he had from his gifts. He was even smart and put $100 away in his bank to save.
