The show follows Mary a federal agent as she works to protect her assignments, people placed in the witness protection program from those seeking to cause them harm. She can't choose her assignments, at times she is protecting the innocent bystander who got caught up by being a witness and at other times she finds herself protecting low lifes who turned evidence to get away from their own crimes. It creates an interesting balance that keeps Mary and her partner Marshal. Of course this girl has a home life too which she has to keep her real day job a secret to protect those around her.
