Sad News

A recent study had released some troubling information about the Drug called Actos that is used as an oral drug to fight Type 2 Dibetes. It has been linked to increased risk of heart failure and heart attack in patients taking the drug. I find it so dissapointing to see this kind of new release considering all the research and testing that has taken place prior to this drug coming onto the market. Why wasn't this caught in the initial test phases before putting more patients at risk. I'm glad to hear that a Actos lawsuit is being formed to help patients get the answers and compensation they deserve from the makers of this drug.

Ok I want more Sun

The last week had been fantastic weather, the sun has finally arrive and it has almost made up for the poor start to the Summer. Today was sadly filled with rain and I can tell you for sure that it the rain was welcomed for the lawn and plants that had dried out but I'm hoping it only stays for the day and then returns to the Sun again.

Go Boys

What an exciting time around the house, the boys baseball team has beat out another competitor to move onto the championship series. The fun starts tommorrow with a best out of 3 series to see the league champion for the year. The boys are excited and getting a good night sleep tonight to get ready for tommorrow's game. Poor BBQ

It was a sad day recently when we discovered that our BBQ has seen better days. I thought it still had some life in it but we had to make a decision. With junk day coming up we took it to the curb to see if anyone wanted it or to have it picked up. We are starting to shop around to see what we can find and hopefully we'll have something all set up very sson.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to my oldest, Jay he is turning the big 15 today and sadly he is away on a school trip and has been gone the last 4 days. We expect him home tonight around 8pm and are all looking forward to see him to wish him a happy birthday and to spend some time with him. Happy Birthday big guy.

I want an xbox

I can't wait for the Playstation Network to come back online, it has apparently been down for weeks now and trust me I have heard about it multiple time everyday from my son. He has convinced himself he needs and Xbox now because he is going into serious withdrawl from not having his online play. I have heard it will be up tommorrow so let's hope for the sanity of our home that it really does happen this time.

Delicious

We were off to DQ tonight after a very busy day with the kids, I tried the Oreo CheeseQuake blizzard and it was sooooo goood. I enjoyed every bite right down to the end the delicious cheese cake pieces were a very nice added bonus to my regular oreo flavor blizzard treat. The kids enjoyed their different flavors too, yummy

Lego club disappointment

The boys were very excited to sign up for the lego club that was offered free in their lego toys. Now the club said they would get a magazine in 6-8 weeks. They filled out their forms and sent them in in September when they went back to school. They figured they would have their membership kits by November at the latest but as the months went by I had to let them know that I didn't think they would get them. Finally the other day one magazine arrived for Blake, but nothing for Kohl. It took 9 months not the 6-8 weeks they advertised so it was very disappointing. I hope someone from Lego sees this and makes changes to their program.

What a wet spring

OK, I'm all for a spring rain but really 2 weeks straight of rain is a bit much. I think we have had enough already, now it might not be that bad if the temperatures were a bit warm too. We have been struggling with temperatures in the single digits and it is way too cold. I'm tired of using the heat in the house to keep from freezing, normally we would have had it shut off over a month ago.

Ski season is over

Well it's official ski season is over for another year, this was the final day at the hill, it's too bad it was really cold so we couldn't enjoy the entire day but it was nice to get one final trip down the hills. Now we get to pack the gear away until next season, which will bring more new adventures as we are moving and next year will be travelling to a different ski hill.

Almighty

I just found one of my favorite movies on tv tonight, Bruce Almighty, I would almost think it is one of Jim Carrey's best performances, with the exception of Truman Show. It is a fun loving movie that doesn't take itself seriously at all. It's much better than the sequel Evan almighty which was a real let down in my opinion..oh well not every movie can be a winner I suppose.

Cold snap

It's been freezing here a lot lately and it has been so cold that it even froze up our oil line this morning. Of course that meant no hot water for us and no heat. Luckily we just had to boil some water on the stove and get the line thawed out a bit. We now have lots of hot water flowing and the house is warming up nicely.
