Driver Fatigue

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of InsuranceHunter. All opinions are 100% mine.

Sometimes as a parent you neglect yourself so much and don't even realize it until someone points it out to you. We lived away from our home for many years and were always coming home to visit. We would pack up the van and the kids with all their games, movies snacks etc and head out. I would sit there driving for up to 5 hours at a time and never stop unless one of the kids were crying or needed a bathroom break. So many times I would drive and be struggling not to drifting off to sleep while driving. My wife would nudge me to make sure I wasn't sleeping. I started taking coffee with me to try and help stay awake. I was reading about the Insurance Hunter’s safety survey which talked about these situations exactly. The results showed that the majority of parents thought it was important to have everything set for their kids comfort but forgot about the driver in most cases Dad and what he needed to stay alert and comfortable to ensure everyone arrived safe. The results were scary but seemed like I really fit into them to with 64% of men reporting driving while tired. I would encourage you to take a look at the entire survey and compare the results to your own road trip situations.  I'm so glad we decided to move back to our home town so we can eliminate the long road trips that we were doing a couple of times a month for years. It's so much safer and easier now knowing that we only have to drive a few minutes to visit with all our family. Of course it is always important to have a good auto insurance policy to ensure that you have the necessary coverage to protect you and your family during your families road trips. If you are lloking for a new insurance provider I would encourage you to shop the Insurance Hunter's website for fast insurance quotes to meet your needs. Life realizations

I got to spend a wonderful week with my wife finishing the lower level of our new home. It's the first vacation I have taken in a couple of years due to changing careers. I really haven't spent as much time as I'd like to with her over the last year or two due to work demands and moving. I remember now many of the reasons why I love her so much. She is so focused when she wants something she works until she gets it. She's not afraid to work and has a good eye to see things right that keeps me on my toes when we are doing projects. She's fun, you have to watch for it but she is a joy to be around most of the time, even when she frustrates me. Most of all she's beautiful, even covered in paint and wearing raggy clothes she's still that beautiful women I fell in love with years ago.

New House...New Begining

Well after much planning, praying and stress we recently moved into our new home. It was an exciting process to build a new home from scratch. We began at Christmas time last year with a visit to a local builder just dreaming. We had conversations with them and went back a couple of times falling in love with the model home. We worked with them to personalize the plan and signed our deal early in the Spring. They worked on the home all Summer and finally Sept 1 we go to move in. I don't think we could have asked for anything more. We decided to finish the basement ourselves to save some money so that was our project for the first week. We are now all settled in and the kids have returned to school in our new town.
